About
Doronko’s development support program for children Child Development Support

Our support is not for “Now, it’s good to be capable of doing this.”.
We support to obtain the “Strength to Live” with the perspective toward the school life or when they a grown up to be adults.

In the Child Development Support Facility “Development Support TSUMUGI”, specialized staff for development support provide nursing programs to children with disabilities or children who have concerns for physical and mental development. In order to realize “the support considering the target and the contents of “Nursing” in the Nursery School Childcare Guidelines” required by the Child Development Support Guidelines, we focus on the possibility of development stretching out from the children’s “I want to try”, and prepare an environment enabling the “True Experiences” with utmost care by the specialized staff regarding the development status and the health of each individual child.

Characteristics of development support
at Doronko Nursery.Our Supports

Our Features01“Group coaching” and “Individual coaching” by specialists

We have specialists such as nurturer, psychologist, speech therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, and music therapist who provide effective program adapted to the development status of each child.
“Group instruction” is a small group activity to learn how to communicate with friends which gives various experiences and stimulations through walking or playing in the parks. “Individual instruction” is adapted to the development status of each child to further strengthen what the child is already good at and improve little by little what the child is not good at.

Our Features02 -Nurture planning skills-
We create an environment for children to choose what they want to do.

The important thing for us is the long lives of the children. We would not like to see them in their school ages being incapable of making decisions unless they are guided with picture cards or words how to refresh their mind or what is expected to happen in their plan. We would like to raise children who can decide their plan even using picture cards. Children acquire the ability to judge by themselves “actions and switching necessary to do what they want” accumulating satisfactions by acquiring ability to choose and accomplishing what they have chosen.

Our Features03 -Nurture ability to observe, to think, to move the body and the functions of senses-
We respect the initiatives by the children.
We actively execute the outdoor programs.

Important thing for developing “ability to observe” is the active visual experience. Children need to try what they want to do and experience with their entire body. In order to develop large “ability to observe”, Doronko Person Support children so that they can acquire the ability to watch, sense of perspective, understanding the space and position, and movement of their bodies through playing children’s favorite outdoor games such as catching insects, playing in the mud, playing tag etc.

Our Features04 -Nurture spirit of independence and communication ability-
Taking care of creatures, working in the fields, rice planting and harvesting

Working in the fields, rice planting and harvesting, and taking care of creatures, themes we are working on as part of Sense of Wonder. Those children who have difficulty in touching the soil or the mud because of hypersensitivity, we do not force them to do but we encourage them to participate in the way that they can, such as watering. Being in charge of what a child want to do or can do develops the “sense of independence”, and gives the experience of sharing the joy of sympathy through cooperation with the staff and other children, which leads to appropriate “communication” and “development of speech”. Moreover, processing the vegetables, for which the children sowed, bred and harvested by their own hands, would lead to a ” proper appetite”. Also staff develop their interest in quantity, shape, color and letter by letting them touch the real things in the nature instead of toys or picture cards.
