Doronko 6 Abilities
ability: 5Learn what is life and death
Taking care of sheep,chicken etc.
Children clean up the dung of goats, chickens and other creatures, clean the huts and aquariums. We also prepare an environment where children can pick up eggs and touch creatures such as larvae, crayfish and loach in the soil of the field.
※Every morning we clean the goat hut and chicken shed, using a broom and a dustpan and carry the dung to the compost yard.
Life and death education (insects and creatures)
Every morning, children clean up the dung of creatures (goats, chickens, etc.), clean the huts and aquariums, and feed them. They can know from these experience that creature cannot live without being taken care of every day. Children sometimes face death in this education, or they can witness the moment goats are born because the goat is a creature that gives birth every year. Everything is a necessary experience to know the weight of life.
Food and food circulation
“We are eating something that has life”
To teach this , nursery teachers, specialists, cooks, and children together, judge and boil fish, squeeze chicken and bake them …
We believe that this “experience for life” is necessary, and we are actually implementing various initiatives.
Sex education
At Doronko, we give sex education to 5-year-old children with an emphasis on telling the truth (= no anger, no cheating, no lying).
After sex education
・Children will know the private zone and will be able to protect their bodies.
・We can convey correct knowledge to children straight before the children are exposed to sexual information from pornography and adults.
・As for sex, the education can give children peace of mind that they can consult with adults around them even though sex is a private matter.
・ Children can learn the importance of life, affirmation of their existence (self-esteem), and symbiosis with people around them, leading to independence.
[lesson 1] Childcare teachers teach private zones to children using paper puppet theater and human body puzzles and teach children that they must never show the private zone to anyone other than your family, and teach children to shout “Help me” if they feel insecure on their way to and from elementary school.
[lesson 2] Childcare teachers teach differences in genitals between men and women and the birth of life using picture books and picture-story shows.
Children make holes in the drawing paper with a needle to check the size of the eggs and learn about their birth using a fetal doll.
